Don't Save, Spend!

How spending money will make you rich in the long run.

For years you may have had your parents tell you that saving is the way to go for success.

But what is saving?

Saving limits your quality of life temporarily. Saving months of your wages just for it to be gone in 24 hours. Whether it’s a new car, rent/mortgage, or buying designer clothes.

Saving will only get you so far, and while it can cover certain living expenses, your quality of life will deplete like an obese person on Ozempic.

I’m not saying you should waste your monthly wage on pointless tat, but I am saying you should be investing, not saving.

Whether that’s in the stock market, or learning a high value skill.

A couple of days ago I posted a story on my Instagram saying “You don’t need to earn 10k/mo to feel successful, sometimes upgrading your daily routine can be enough”.

Why was I thinking this on a random Friday afternoon?

Well, I clocked out of my shitty job and hopped on a train that would take me over 100 miles from where I live. But instead of booking a standard ticket, I booked first class.

This was the first time experiencing first class, and I wasn’t disappointed. No pushing and shoving, designated seat, complimentary food, room to move, perfect room temperature and more.

It may not seem like much but I felt like a millionaire being on this train. Spending that little bit of extra money gave me a taste of what’s to come if I make it!

As you know I’m trying a gain my freedom back through copywriting so experiences like this motivate me to work twice as hard. Safe to say I’m going first class every time I’m going away, how can I afford it? I’ll just have to make work harder at copywriting.
